Fabrizio Ferraro’s research focuses on the emergence of novel institutions and organizational practices in a number of different industries (financial services, software, luxury goods). His research is supported by a five-year grant (2011-2015) from the European Research Council (ERC). His teaching and consulting activity focus on working with top managers in the implementation of large-scale strategic changes, by helping them understand and harness the strength of their organizations.

Associate Professor of Managing People in Organizations

Sebastien Brion has taught in executive programs for firms such as L’Oreal, Santander, Nissan, NLNG (Lagos, Nigeria), and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (National Railways of Kazakhstan). In addition, he has held a Visiting Professor position at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and has taught in executive program s for the Haas School of Business and MDE (Abidjan, Côte d?Ivoire).As part of his professional activities Professor Brion has conducted research and consulting projects in the human resources and social media industries.
In his research, Professor Brion explores the psychological effects of power, focusing on the attainment, maintenance, and loss of power in group and organizational settings. His dissertation explored how biases in the way that powerful individuals perceive their alliances with others contribute to the loss of power. In addition, he has explored the impact of overconfidence on leadership, investigating the critical distinction between leadership emergence and leadership effectiveness.
Prof. Brion’s research has been highlighted in numerous publications, including The Economist, Le Monde, DieWelt, and Valor Económico.

Massimo’s research focuses on how social networks influence performance both at the individual and organizational level. His work focuses on explaining how informal relationships facilitate the innovativeness of knowledge workers (engineers and architects), and the process through which new organizational members become socialized by developing their networks in their new jobs. He also studies how organizations of the public and private sector exchange knowledge in large technological consortia, and how the stability of task-related interactions boosts organizational competitiveness.
Online Edition Methodology
The program combines a wide range of highly dynamic and interactive teaching methodologies, including group discussions, class lectures, exercises, the case study method and a computer simulation to hone your skills as an agent of change.

This combination of different teaching methods has been designed to foster an optimal learning environment.

Online Edition Admission Process & Fees
The online edition of the program has a three-step admission process:

  1. Participants must complete and submit the online application.
  2. The Executive Education Department will contact the participant by email to acknowledge receipt of the application. It will also provide information about the program dates, schedule and the bank details needed to pay tuition.
  3. The participant pays tuition (payment must be made before the start of the course). This is an essential prerequisite for participating in the program.


FEES

The program fee is tax-exempt.

Payment is required prior to the start date and academic materials are included in this fee.

Cancellation Policy
IESE reserves the right to cancel this edition of the program or to change the dates up to 7 days prior to its start.

On-Campus Edition Methodology

The on-campus edition takes place throughout 4 intensive days in the school’s campus at Barcelona.

In order to benefit fully from the course, reading the academic material that will be provided two weeks prior to the start date is essential.

  3. The participant pays tuition (payment must be made before the start of the course and before prior study materials are sent). This is an essential prerequisite for participating in the program.
  4. Two weeks before the start of the program, participants will receive an email with a username giving them access to IESE’s Virtual Campus, where initial study materials will be available.


FEES

The program fee is tax-exempt and it includes academic materials and lunches. It does not include travel or accommodation expenses.

The program requires preparatory coursework, which will be made available three weeks before the start date. Payment is required in order to access this material.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received within 20 days prior to the start of the program are subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 25% of the program fee. IESE reserves the right to cancel this edition of the program or to change the dates up to 20 days prior to its start. IESE is under no circumstances responsible for travel expenses incurred. Participants should consider travel cancellation coverage in the exceptional event that the program is cancelled or that participants are unable to attend for personal or professional reasons.
